Key Responsibilities
  • Architect and operate the enterprise data platform on Azure, including storage, compute, and streaming layers.

  • Develop reusable platform frameworks for ingestion, orchestration, and workflow execution.

  • Own infrastructure engineering for data systems including compute, storage, and identity integration.

  • Implement infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and build CI/CD pipelines.

  • Design platform observability, monitoring, and governance frameworks.

  • Lead system integration patterns including event-driven and batch architectures.

  • Support M&A integration through scalable platform onboarding.

  • Partner with analytics and data teams to enable platform usage.

  • Provide architectural leadership and mentor engineers.

Required Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience in platform engineering, infrastructure engineering, or large-scale distributed systems.

  • Strong experience building and operating cloud-native platforms on Azure (compute, storage, networking).

  • Hands-on expertise with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or equivalent) and CI/CD automation.

  • Experience designing highly available, scalable, and resilient systems with defined SLAs/SLOs.

  • Experience with system integration patterns (event-driven architectures, APIs, streaming systems).

  • Strong understanding of identity, access control, secure platform design (e.g., Entra ID).

  • Experience implementing observability (monitoring, logging, alerting) for platforms.

  • Proven ability to lead cross-team platform initiatives and define engineering standards.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder alignment skills across engineering & data org.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting large-scale data platforms (lakehouse, warehouse, or streaming systems).

  • Familiarity with tools such as Databricks, Snowflake, dbt or Fivetran from a platform enablement standpoint.

  • Experience in regulated industries (Financial Services, Wealth Management, Healthcare).

  • Background in M&A systems integration and onboarding complex environments.

  • Experience with multi-region architectures and disaster recovery design.

  • Understanding of infrastructure requirements for AI/ML platforms.

  • Relevant cloud or infrastructure certifications (Azure, AWS, GCP).

Physical Requirements

  • This position requires the physical capabilities to work in an office environment, which may include prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
