About the Role

Brookfield Renewable is seeking a skilled Automation System Analyst with 3-5 years of experience in designing, deploying, and maintaining automated workflows and systems. The Automation System Analyst will join our growing Business Applications Solutions Team. The Automation System Analyst will report to the Manager of Business Applications Solutions and support various automation platforms, including Appian, UIPath, Microsoft PowerApps, and Chatbot systems, ensuring optimal functionality. The ideal candidate will understand process automation and software development while working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. 

Key Responsibilities

Design, Deploy, and Maintain Workflows in Appian:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to analyze requirements and translate them into automated workflow solutions.
  • Develop, implement, and support Appian-based applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in Appian workflows.
  • Continuously improve workflow efficiency by optimizing Appian-based solutions.

Develop and Maintain Bots in UIPath:

  • Design, configure, and deploy RPA (Robotic Process Automation) solutions using UIPath.
  • Maintain and update existing bots to ensure their performance and reliability.
  • Monitor RPA processes to ensure they run smoothly and handle exceptions efficiently.
  • Work closely with the development team to identify areas for automation.

Support and Maintain Other Applications:

  • Maintain and enhance Microsoft PowerApps solutions to support internal business processes.
  • Support and maintain chatbot systems to automate communication processes.
  • Provide technical support and resolve issues related to PowerApps and chatbot platforms.
  • Stay updated on the latest technologies and best practices for automation tools.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and business analysts, to gather requirements and deliver automation solutions.
  • Assist in user training and documentation for new or updated automation tools and workflows.
  • Engage with vendors to troubleshoot and provide support for automation platforms.

System Maintenance and Continuous Improvement:

  • Perform regular system checks and ensure automated systems are running optimally.
  • Identify opportunities for further automation and improvements in existing processes.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, data security, and industry best practices when designing automation solutions.

Knowledge and Experience Required

  • Between 3 and 5 years of experience in automation systems, including workflow design and RPA development.
  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline.
  • Hands-on experience with Appian workflow management.
  • Experience with chatbot platforms and Microsoft PowerApps.
  • Experience with other automation tools and platforms.
  • Knowledge of Cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
  • Familiarity with programming languages.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and effectively manage time.
  • Facilitates collaboration and conflict resolution.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A good understanding of technical and non-technical concepts and ability to effectively communicate these concepts to various stakeholders.
  • Dynamic, self-starter and learner.

Note: Offices continue to be central to collaboration and Brookfield’s identity. This position requires the employee to be on-site for a minimum of 4 days to perform most effectively. We will reassess the approach on a as needed basis.
