Job description

Description:

Docupace is seeking a Full-Stack Developer for a Hybrid role based in Philadelphia, PA. ALL interested candidates MUST currently reside in Philadelphia, PA, and be willing to work in the office as requested.

Summary of Position:

As a Full Stack Software Developer on the Hubly team, you’ll design, build, and ship features that shape the future of workflow automation in the wealth management industry. You’ll work across the stack—using tools like Java, Python, React, Django, AWS (Lambda, Step Functions, CDK), PostgreSQL, GraphQL, CI/CD (GitHub Actions), and Docker—to create meaningful improvements in product performance, usability, and scalability.

We’re not looking for someone to just write code. We’re looking for someone who thrives on turning ideas into elegant, user-delighting solutions, who embraces ambiguity as an opportunity, and who wants their work to be felt, not just seen. You’ll be part of a high-performance, “Super-Builder” culture—rooted in unconventional thinking, technical craftsmanship, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.

Hubly is the leading workflow automation platform for wealth management, trusted to streamline complex processes for financial advisors. Inside Docupace, the Hubly team operates like a product-focused startup—fast-moving, creative, and relentlessly user-obsessed. If you want to push the boundaries of both technology and product design, you’ll have the autonomy and support to do so here.

Why You’ll Love This Role

  • You’ll work on a category-leading product with real-world impact on how financial advisors serve their clients.
  • You’ll join a small, empowered team where your contributions directly shape product direction.
  • You’ll have room to grow—into technical leadership, architectural vision, or hybrid product/engineering roles.
  • You’ll be encouraged to experiment, leverage AI tools, and reimagine how things are done.
  • You’ll get to blend technical skill with creative problem solving—building as both an engineer and an innovator.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deploy full-stack features using modern frameworks (React, Django, GraphQL, AWS).
  • Write efficient, maintainable, and testable code that meets high engineering standards.
  • Translate product insights and user feedback into impactful features.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to scope and prioritize work.
  • Participate in system architecture discussions to design scalable, reliable solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly, with empathy for the user experience.
  • Optimize workflows and engineering processes through automation and tooling.
  • Influence UI/UX decisions with a technical perspective.
  • Take ownership of core product components and drive them forward.
  • Track and measure the outcomes of what you build.
  • Experiment with AI tools to improve both product capabilities and development workflows.
  • Occasionally, speak directly with customers to understand real-world use cases and ensure we’re building the right things.
Requirements:

Minimum Education, Skills, and Experience:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in software development, with experience in both frontend and backend.
  • Strong grasp of computer science fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms.
  • Experience with full product lifecycle involvement, from ideation to deployment.
  • Effective communicator who thrives in a remote, async team environment.
  • Proven ability to handle customer support cases and translate feedback into product improvements.
  • Experience using JavaScript, AWS

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

  • Sit – Frequent
  • Stand- Occasional
  • Walk - Frequently
  • Lift/Carry 0-20 pounds – Occasional
  • Lift/Carry over 0-20 pounds - Occasional
