SAP L1 Production Support Specialist
Work Arrangement: 3 Days Onsite
Position Overview
BlueOval Battery Park Michigan (BOBM) is a Ford manufacturing facility helping power the next generation of Ford vehicles. The SAP L1 Production Support Specialist will serve as the primary coordinator for SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud production support activities across multiple business functions. This role is responsible for driving issue resolution, coordinating cross-functional support efforts, maintaining operational visibility, and ensuring business continuity across Finance, Master Data Management (MDM), Purchasing, HR, Supply Chain Collaboration, Warehouse Operations, ASN, and Banking workstreams.
This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment supporting a large-scale SAP ecosystem while developing expertise in production support, project coordination, stakeholder management, and SAP cloud operations.
Key Responsibilities
L1 Production Support & Incident Management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for BOBM IT Level 1 support activities within the SAP S/4HANA production environment.
  • Manage end-to-end support processes using JIRA, ServiceNow, and SAP Cloud ALM (CALM).
  • Prioritize incidents based on severity and business impact while ensuring SLA compliance.
  • Coordinate escalations to L2 and L3 support teams and provide comprehensive issue documentation, including root cause analysis.
  • Monitor ticket backlogs and drive timely resolution of production issues.
  • Develop and maintain incident management dashboards, scorecards, and support performance metrics.
  • Analyze trends, identify recurring issues, and communicate support metrics to stakeholders.
Finance & Integration Support
  • Support month-end financial close activities, including:
    • Intercompany transactions
    • Banking and treasury processes
    • Accounting operations
    • Wall Street, Backline, MICS, Vertex, and Monex integrations
  • Assist with SAP integration initiatives involving:
    • Master Data Management (MDM)
    • Purchasing and supplier interfaces
    • API and middleware integrations
    • Advance Shipping Notice (ASN) processes
  • Support SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud Identity and Access Governance activities, including:
    • User provisioning
    • Deprovisioning
    • Access modifications and role management
Training & User Enablement
  • Coordinate SAP training activities across BOBM business workstreams.
  • Track training certifications and user readiness metrics.
  • Ensure training materials and job aids are current and accessible.
  • Schedule and coordinate training sessions as needed.
  • Develop dashboards and reporting to measure training completion and effectiveness.
