Idaho Material Handling, Inc. is a leader in the material handling industry and is currently seeking outstanding candidates for a Customer Service Representative for the Idaho Falls / Twin Falls area.  The primary function of this position is to develop and maintain customer relationships, sell material handling equipment, and maintenance and service agreements.  As a CSR you'll determine customer needs and develop sales strategies to meet those objectives. Customer interaction, communicating with the Field Technicians, and coordinating job priorities with Service Managers will be an everyday occurrence.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Pursue new business and develop key existing accounts by visiting customer facilities or contacting by phone.
  • Promote and sale Planned Maintenance (PM) contracts on a variety of industrial and warehouse equipment.
  • Act as a primary customer contact for all product support needs by working directly with the service managers, technicians and parts staff. 
  • Provides quotes for service agreements on a variety of industrial and warehouse equipment including forklift equipment, overhead cranes & automated conveyor systems.
  • Answer customer questions regarding operation safety issues and maintenance intervals.
  • Investigates and resolves customer problems with orders placed and warranty issues.
  • Follow-up with customers after maintenance and completed repairs to increase customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Generate leads for service or equipment/device upgrades.
  • Promotes service and product features to customers, quotes prices and credit terms, and prepares sales orders for orders obtained.
  • Tracks equipment orders sold for potential preventative maintenance, service, or aftermarket sales.
  • Work with salespeople, operations managers and service technicians regarding PM issues (questions on pricing, problems, etc.).
  • Submits weekly activity/call reports concerning customer-related activities for quotes, orders, new business, and problems concerning customer/vendor relationships.
  • Monitor delinquent PMs and assist with problem accounts.
  • Consult & problem solve to enhance the Company's position in existing & target accounts.
  • Implements strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals.
  • Assist with warranty issues by submitting, tracking, and closing claims to ensure both customer and company needs are being met.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 3-4 years progressively related experience in industrial equipment sales preferred
  • Demonstrated expertise in industrial sales/customer service capacity

Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, and customer relation skills
  • Able to operate equipment for demonstration purposes
  • Able to handle a variety of situations encountered during sales process
  • Intermediate computer skills in MS Office and Outlook required
  • Analytical/mathematics skills are essential
  • Capable of handling multiple priorities and tasks
  • Basic mechanical understanding of material handling equipment and the ability to identify by sight and by name the parts of an industry related piece of equipment
  • Must be a self-starter with good time management, planning, and organizational skills with a commitment to detail
  • Positive attitude and ability to comply with company policies and procedures
  • Consistently maintain the highest standards in serving the customer's needs, including but not limited to, handling customer issues and complaints
  • Maintain and strengthen customer relationships by acting professionally and as a representation of the company values
  • Must have a valid drivers' license with a good driving record
  • Must have U.S. Work Authorization
  • Must be able to pass background checks and random drug screenings
