Support Project Engineer

Role Overview
The Support Project Engineer supports the Project Engineering team by assisting with project controls, engineering coordination, and execution tracking. This role contributes to planning, monitoring, and documentation activities across engineering disciplines to ensure contractual, schedule, and technical requirements are successfully met in a fast-paced project environment. The position also leads efforts, collaborates with leadership, and provides strategic oversight to ensure efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities
  • Demonstrates our core competencies: Action oriented, change champion, customer-focused, developing self & others, and ownership
  • Support project systems and controls including kickoff activities, Master Document List (MDL), Division of Responsibility (DOR), and contract deviation tracking.
  • Assist with planning, setup, monitoring, and troubleshooting of project systems and engineering workflows.
  • Support engineering schedule reviews, two-week look-ahead planning, expediting activities, and technical delivery reporting.
  • Perform advanced data analysis and reporting using Microsoft Excel and other tools to support project controls and management decisions.
  • Support project documentation reviews, inter-disciplinary coordination, and tracking of engineering changes, ECNs, and contract deviations.
  • Assist Project Engineers with tracking and compiling standard engineering deliverables and coordinating communication across project teams.
  • Perform other such duties as may be required.

Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in relevant Engineering discipline or technical diploma from college or university and 3-8 Years extensive direct experience. Experience with Power Generation, Energy Systems, and Engineering Servicesdesired.
  • Knowledge of project management tools, engineering document control, and inter-disciplinary coordination in an EPC or project environment.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and multitasking skills with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, electronic mail required. Adobe PDF Pro, 3D tools, and Visio are preferred.
  • Exceptional communication, strategic thinking, and organizational skills.
  • Minimal travel May be required - potential to visit project sites domestic and travel for up to 20% of the assigned work year.
