The position involves independently leading the daily operations of a small coffee shop, including preparing and serving beverages, operating the register, stocking, cleaning, and maintaining inventory levels. The role requires a strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices to ensure a clean and welcoming environment.
Excellent customer service skills are essential to create a friendly and positive experience for all patrons.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday 8am-2:30pm
Compensation:
Wage is $17.00 per hour
+$.80 added for differential Weekend pay for work performed on Saturday and Sunday..
+2.50 added for differential night pay, for work performed between 6pm-6am.
Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Greets customers, answers questions, and provides basic information regarding food preparation and associated activities
  • Cleans, inspects, and maintains kitchen equipment and work areas
  • Assists and guides student workers
  • Prepares a variety of basic dishes such as sandwiches and salads, and assists in the preparation of more complex dishes
  • Adheres to federal, state, and local food safety regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Performs routine food preparation activities such as portioning, chopping food, and serving food to customers
