We are seeking a Full Stack Developer with a strong frontend and data-integration focus to support the development of a mission-critical, web-based application used for data ingest, analytics, visualization, and dissemination. This role emphasizes building intuitive user interfaces backed by robust APIs and data-processing services in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with government stakeholders and product leadership to refine and document application requirements.
  • Design and implement modern, responsive user interfaces using Angular or comparable frameworks (React or Vue).
  • Build and integrate backend APIs using Node.js (Nest.js) and Python-based analytics services.
  • Integrate external data sources, analytics libraries, and query engines to support complex workflows.
  • Partner with UI/UX designers and power users to deliver intuitive, data-driven user experiences.
  • Participate in Agile development activities including sprint planning, daily standups, demos, and retrospectives.
  • Test and validate features to ensure functional, performance, and usability requirements are met.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong experience with modern frontend frameworks (Angular preferred; React or Vue acceptable).
  • Experience using UI component libraries (PrimeNG preferred) and/or Tailwind CSS.
  • Backend API development experience using Node.js (Nest.js or similar).
  • Experience integrating Python-based analytics or data processing services.
  • Hands-on experience with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL.
  • Experience building and deploying applications in AWS environments.
  • Willingness to work onsite full time.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with data visualization and analytical presentation of results.
  • Familiarity with pandas or polars for data processing.
  • Experience with Trino or distributed query engines.
  • Experience implementing authentication and authorization in cloud-based systems.
  • Familiarity with Docker-based development workflows.

Pay Transparency: To support pay transparency, Vantor includes salary ranges in all U.S. job postings. Starting pay for this role will fall within the listed range and will be based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, location, and market conditions. Candidates who meet the minimum requirements for the role should not expect to receive compensation at the top of the range. The listed range reflects the expected pay for this position, and final offers will be determined based on each candidate's experience, expertise, and alignment with the role.

The base pay for this position within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is: $113,000.00 - $150,000.00 - $165,000.00 annually.

For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.
