Job description

Position Title: Sleep Technologist (Polysomnography)
Location: Upland Hills Health - Dodgeville Campus
Role amp; Department: Sleep Technologist in the Heart, Lung amp; Sleep Department
Hours amp; Shift: Part-time (.9 FTE), Night Shift
Role Responsibilities:
  • Sleep Technologists consult with physicians for clarity of prescription and or suggestions for appropriate interventions
  • Obtain patient history and performs patient assessments
  • Determine requirements for treatment according to prescription
  • Perform therapy according to department policy and procedure and accrediting standards of care
  • Assist with discharge planning and home oxygen therapy needs
  • Performs nocturnal multi-channel sleep studies for sleep apnea
  • Maintains appropriate documentation of treatments and other interventions on the patient’s medical record
  • General light clerical responsibilities (i.e., completion of charges and other necessary documentation)
  • Clean and calibrate equipment per departmental procedure
Qualifications:
  • Be a graduate of an accredited Polysomnography program
  • Certified/Registered as a Polysomnographer (Sleep Tech)
  • Prior experiences working in a Sleep Study Environment is required.
  • R.P.S.G.T. Registration
  • CPR Certification (BLS)
  • Previous experience with the Microsoft Office Suite software programs is beneficial
