Job description

Are you interested in keeping our Cleveland YMCA neat and tidy, to ensure the comfort and safety of others? As a Housekeeper, and an important member of our team, you will perform all of the day-to-day cleaning services, including locker rooms.

We are currently seeking a part-time FEMALE Housekeeper who can work the following shifts:

Friday 4pm-10pm

Saturday 12pm-7pm

Sunday 1pm-6pm

RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Ensure the cleanliness of the facility by completing the daily checklist
  • Perform duties such as wet and dust mopping, dusting, trash removal, recycling, window washing, vacuuming, seasonal activities dealing with lawn care and snow removal, and other general cleaning
  • Record and report repairs as needed and report hazardous conditions to supervisor
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Six months or more of related experience preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents, and document work as needed

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Sufficient physical strength and agility to carry out essential duties of job
  • Ability to lift up to 25lbs
  • Ability to work with cleaning equipment, chemical compounds, solvents, cleaners, and solutions in dry, liquid, powder, spray, and aerosol forms
  • Ability to work in conditions that will create dirt and dust
  • Must be detail oriented and exhibit a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to perform duties which may include: semi – reaching to full-reach overhead; crouching; kneeling; shoveling; carrying, working in narrow and/or confining spaces: underground, overhead, and at ground level; twisting of the waist, shoulders, and legs; and lying on stomach and/or back
