NDT Level II RT Technician (Radiographic Testing)

Locations: Richmond, VA


Employment Type: Full-Time


Pay: $35-$40 per hour


We are seeking experienced Level II Radiographic Testing (RT) Technicians to support long-term industrial inspection projects in Richmond, VA. SIGN ON BONUSES AND RELOCATION PACKAGES AVAILABLE!



  • Perform Level II Radiographic Testing (RT) inspections in accordance with company procedures, customer specifications, and applicable industry codes.

  • Set up, calibrate, and operate radiographic equipment safely and efficiently.

  • Interpret radiographic images and evaluate inspection results.

  • Prepare accurate inspection reports and maintain required documentation.

  • Ensure compliance with all radiation safety requirements and company safety policies.

  • Perform equipment checks, maintenance, and calibration.

  • Work closely with customers, project managers, and fellow technicians.

  • Assist with additional NDT methods when qualified.

  • Mentor and provide guidance to trainees and Level I technicians as needed.


Qualifications

  • Current ASNT Level II RT Certification (or employer-based equivalent meeting SNT-TC-1A requirements).

  • Current State or Industrial Radiographer Card (where applicable).

  • Radiation Safety Training (40-hour preferred).

  • Experience with digital radiography (DR/CR) is a plus.

  • Additional certifications such as MT, PT, UT, VT, or PMI are preferred but not required.

  • Strong understanding of applicable codes, standards, and inspection procedures.

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

  • Ability to pass a drug screen, background check, and any site-specific requirements.
