Job description

NDT III / QA Manager – North Slope, AK

POSITION SUMMARY:  The NDT III / Quality Assurance Manager has responsibility for the coordination, scheduling, training, auditing, Certifying NDT level II’s and reporting of the QA Program.  The work schedule will be a rotational hitch of 21 days on followed by 21 days off. Daily work shifts will be 12 hours, 7 days a week.

Employees are not required to move. All employees are required to travel to Ted Stevens International Airport in Anchorage, AK at their own expense, then the company will provide flights from Anchorage to the North Slope for their 3-week work rotation.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES:

  • Overall accountability of the Quality Assurance Program.
  • Ensure proper calibrations of all NDT equipment.
  • Perform field audits on Level II technicians.
  • Provide NDT training and certification of NDT level II’s for all methods as required.
  • Review and approve procedures, work instructions, and assist with implementation of new procedures.
  • Investigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues and issue corrective actions accordingly.
  • Document process changes and revise procedures as needed.
  • Develop and manage KPIs as related to program.
  • Lead by example in the execution of Company’s Quality Assurance policies.
  • Proven demonstration of communicative skills.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • 10 years’ NDT experience and at least 2 years as a Quality Assurance supervisor.
  • Current NDT Level III certificates in UT, MT, PT, VT, RT, CR and DR (we do all CR and DR on this project)
  • PAUT / TOFT Level III is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent computer skills in the MS Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of tools, concepts, and methodologies of quality assurance.
  • North Slope Experience is preferred.

  • Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.
