Job description

Summary of Position:

Operate and care for construction equipment and machines. Help equipment operator if necessary. Prep construction sites by cleaning obstacles and hazards. Follow instructions from supervisors to perform manual labor tasks. Ready to learn from on-the-job training when necessary. Perform site clean-up. Available to work overtime and weekends when asked.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor on oilfield projects.
  • Assists truck driver with any tasks on or outside of the truck being operated or for the specific job assignment.
  • Maintains proper housekeeping in the truck, washes unit in accordance with established procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean job site; pick up all tools and equipment and secure job site each day in order to eliminate potential hazards.
  • Load and unload material manually, haul and hoist materials (pipe, supplies).
  • Shop Maintenance duties when needed.
  • Completes required work plans, job safety analysis, observations, and attends safety meetings as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Abilities and Physical Demands Required:

  • Basic knowledge of oilfield preferred.
  • Interact with others in a team environment, and complete daily activities according to work schedule.
  • Work in all types of outdoor climates and conditions.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor.
  • Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely.
  • Can follow and transmit written and oral instructions.
  • Responsible to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
