CNA Instructor - CNA Job Summary

Sanzie Healthcare Services, Inc. seeks a CNA teacher who can teach Lab/Clinical at Our Facility. Each course is five days long, from 9-6 pm. The courses are contracted and may happen once or twice a month. Perfect for someone who works in the Evening and needs extra hours in the day or who works in the day and wants extra hours there.

Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse (licensed in Georgia).

  • Certified Train the Trainer American Heart CPR Instructor. All credentials must be provided for copying before the time of the interview.
  • The candidate must possess a comprehensive knowledge of the Certified Nurse's Assistant profession, including the relationship to other professions in the medical field.
  • Must demonstrate excellent written and oral communication and people skills. Three or more years, within the last five of full-time, in-field work experience as an LPN or RN.
  • Experience must include the competencies, skills, and knowledge levels the faculty will be expected to teach.

We need instructors full-time/part-time

  • Daytime class 9 am- 1.30 pm (19 Day Shift including Clincals)
  • Evening class 1.45 pm-6 pm ( 19 Evenings)

The RN./LPN teacher will need to have experience in one of the following;

  • LPN
  • PCT
  • CNA (Must have two years experience in a long-term care facility )

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Primary duties include preparing lessons, evaluating students, and maintaining records.
  • Build a curriculum for students based on guidelines identified by certification requirements established by the Georgia Nurse Aide Training Program.
  • Responsible for classroom instruction and supervision.
  • Provide basic first aid training and teach students how to take vitals, including how to take blood pressure and temperature.
  • Knowledge of proper lifting procedures.
  • Educate students about keeping patient records and primary care duties, including bathing, cleaning, and hygiene. Must provide CNAs with hands-on training in nursing or long-term care facilities, hospitals, and other healthcare operations.
  • Supervise students in clinical experiences at the internship site
  • Give students one-on-one training or lectures to ensure they learn to handle the job's demands.
  • Evaluate and assess mastery of knowledge and skills through administering and grading examinations, assignments, skills assessments, and clinical evaluation.
  • Ensure rules and policies governing student conduct and standards of behavior are maintained in all academic settings.
  • Require satisfactory performance of all critical knowledge and skills to ensure students are competent before performing patient care activities.
  • Must prepare students to pass the examination and CNA certification
  • Maintains supplies and equipment and reports when they are non-functional or create a hazard.
  • Demonstrates appropriate knowledge of the subject
  • Teach courses and evaluate student performance per guidelines set by the department; GMCF assures compliance with all reporting and data tracking requirements.
  • Works with facilities to select clinical assignments for students
  • Supervises students in class, lab, and clinical
  • Maintains collegial relationships with clinical faculty and meets all requirements of the clinical facility
  • Facilitate all day-to-day operations of practical nurse classroom or clinical, including instruction, assessments, and tracking attendance.
  • Stays current in nursing and actively participates in professional development

Qualifications and Skills-Preferred Qualifications

  • At least one year of teaching experience is preferred but not needed
  • At least two years of experience in the field
  • Strong desire to help others achieve their personal goals
  • Enthusiastic and optimistic
  • PowerPoint/Microsoft Word experience
