UIW Mission

Position Summary
The Video Production Assistant is responsible for producing the live streaming and coverage of all home UIW athletic events. This includes the setup and take down of equipment and producing a quality stream while incorporating all sponsorship assets. This position reports to the Assistant Director, Office of Communications and Brand Marketing.
Essential Functions
  • Assist in production of streams for all UIW home events including football, baseball, basketball, softball, men's and women's soccer, volleyball, swim and dive, and others as requested.
  • Assist with the video board and game entertainment for football and assisting with social media highlights and preproduction elements.
  • Assist in the production of additional UIW features as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
  • Must be a self-starter and have the ability to work without supervision.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.
  • Knowledge of broadcast equipment and the structure of a live broadcast.
  • Exemplify a go getter attitude and willingness to support the greater good of the team.
  • Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference and the NCAA.

Required Education
Current UIW Student.
Required Work Experience
Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, video cameras, Tri-Caster, or 3 Play.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in any of the following: graphic design, video editing, photography, audio technician, and/or camera operating.
Required Certifications, Licenses or Registrations
None.
Work Hours
  • Monday thru Friday 8am - 5pm.
  • Must be willing to work nights and weekends.

Physical Demands
  • Ability to lift equipment, tools, and/or materials weighing up to 25 pounds waist high.
  • May be required to stand for extended periods of time.
