Position Overview
Cumulus Media| Westwood One - Dallas is searching for a Broadcast Engineer in our Dallas, TX Studios. This position is responsible for maintaining the digital broadcast studios. Training will be provided for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities & Qualifications
Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain digital broadcast studios. Programming through mainframe audio router, cleaning, repair as necessary
  • Installation and programming of all broadcast-related devices: codecs, encoders, servers
  • Low voltage cabling running, connection, management and testing, including network, coaxial, balanced pair, multipair
  • Program Axia Pathfinder routers: I/O audio, nomenclature, automation, control panels (physical and soft panels)
  • Provide in-depth troubleshooting and resolution as required for broadcast equipment and OpX system
  • Routine maintenance of broadcast systems, requires after-hours and/or overnights
    -HVAC/UPS/Generator PM's
    -Software/configuration updates or changes to critical systems
  • Provide/update documentation for equipment and support
  • Maintain & Support Audio Depot file transfer system
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years in broadcast engineering and IT experience preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Acute attention to detail
  • Strong background with OpX system.
  • Knowledge of IP codecs, manufacturers include Gates Air, Comrex, Telos
  • Networking skills in a managed environment, including programming routing tables, port assignment, IP/GW/Subnet setting
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal communication skills, verbal and written, with vendors and engineers
  • Able to work and resolve problems independently with little supervision

Pay Range
USD $64,000.00 - USD $80,000.00 /Yr.
