Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated, basketball-passionate individual or small team to operate and grow a Hoop It Up licensed territory. As a licensee, you will have exclusive rights to run Hoop It Up 3x3 basketball youth-focused camps/events in your designated local area.

This is an entrepreneurial opportunity to own and manage your own grassroots basketball business under the iconic Hoop It Up brand. You will organize fun, competitive 3x3 events that bring communities together, develop young players' skills, and promote the fast-paced, Olympic-recognized sport of 3x3 basketball. Ideal for former players, coaches, event organizers, or sports entrepreneurs who love basketball and want to build a local sports business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Event Planning & Operations: Organize and execute Hoop It Up 3x3 day camps/clinics, and special events. This includes securing venues (indoor/outdoor courts, parks, or arenas), scheduling games, managing registrations, and ensuring smooth daily operations.
  • Participant Recruitment & Registration: Promote events to youth of all skill levels. Handle sign-ups.
  • Coaching & Program Delivery: Oversee skill development sessions, drills, 3x3 games, clinics, and camps. Focus on fundamentals like ball-handling, shooting, passing, defense, teamwork, and sportsmanship while creating a fun, inclusive atmosphere.
  • Staff Management: Recruit, train, and supervise coaches, referees, volunteers, and support staff. Ensure high-quality instruction and positive experiences for all campers/participants.
  • Marketing & Community Engagement: Build local awareness through social media, partnerships with schools, rec centers, NBA-affiliated teams (where applicable), and community groups. Drive attendance and sponsorships.
  • Revenue Management: Generate income from team registration fees, spectator admissions, concessions, merchandise sales, and local sponsors. Manage budgets, expenses, and profitability for your territory.
  • Compliance & Safety: Maintain brand standards set by Hoop It Up, handle insurance/liability, enforce safety protocols, and ensure events are accessible and welcoming to all ages and abilities.
  • Reporting & Brand Alignment: Coordinate with the national Hoop It Up team for support, branding materials, and promotional assets. Track event metrics and participate in any provided training.

Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Passion for Basketball: Strong knowledge of 3x3 and traditional basketball rules, skills, and culture. Previous playing, coaching, or camp experience preferred.
  • Event Management Experience: Proven ability to plan and run sports events, youth camps, tournaments, or leagues. Entrepreneurial mindset with business acumen.
  • Leadership & Communication Skills: Excellent at motivating staff, engaging parents/participants, and building community relationships.
  • Organizational Skills: Detail-oriented with strong project management abilities (scheduling, budgeting, logistics).
  • Local Market Knowledge: Familiarity with your territory's sports scene, venues, and youth/rec programs (exclusive territories available).
  • Availability: Flexible schedule, including weekends and summer periods for peak camp/tournament seasons. Willingness to travel locally for events.
  • Other: Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, background check clearance (for working with youth), and basic computer skills (registration software, social media, email).

Benefits

Revue split 60/40. As the operator/director you will earn 60% of net revenue generated by registration fees. 100% of any concessions and local sponsors. An initial investment will be made by MVP360 management to offset start up costs.
