Job description

1. Summary of Position:

Instruct helicopter type ratings, recurrent flight training and special flight courses for AWTA in accordance with the relative syllabus, in a timely and professional manner. Participate on the development of new training courses and ensure a high level of paperwork and record keeping. Occasionally deliver the courses off site.

Study and train as needed to remain current as an instructor (and Examiner) pilot him/herself, remaining informed and up-to-date on the latest standards, procedures and regulations as applicable

Be responsible to complete all required training paperwork in a timely and accurate fashion

Assist in the ongoing development of AWTA curriculum, products and services

Maintain and update training materials and publications.

Perform other duties and fulfill other responsibilities as assigned

  1. Qualifications for Position:

A. Education

Commercial Rotorcraft Helicopter Certificate with Instrument Rating. 3000+ hrs Total Flight Time.

CFI required CFII preferred.

B. Experience

A minimum of 5 years experience performing helicopter instruction and/or flying.

C. Competencies & Attributes

1.

Instructor and/or examiner back ground in helicopters

2.

Rotorcraft Helicopter Certificate

3.

Strong IFR experience and knowledge

4.

Excellent interpersonal communications skills and MS Office knowledge.

D. Licensure/Certification

FAA Commercial Rotorcraft Helicopter with Instrument Required.

FAA CFI required CFII preferred
