Job description

Overview

VTG is seeking Associate Systems Engineers/Technical Specialists in Hampton Roads, VA. The Associate Systems Engineers/Technical Specialists will support technical manual updates, courseware formatting, software change tracking, and documentation management functions on the AN/SQQ-89(V) USW Systems Lifecycle Support program.


What will you do?
  • Execute technical manual updates and TOR documentation for AN/SQQ-89 ACB software releases
  • Perform courseware formatting and quality assurance for approximately 800 firmware/software update packages annually
  • Support TMDER response preparation and data module updates in S1000D/AIM environment
  • Assist with MOODLE/LMS content uploads and courseware version control
  • Maintain deliverable status tracking and data call preparation under senior engineer direction
  • Support iPDM document review and configuration change package assembly
  • Assist in training scenario and exercise package development
  • Provide quality review for technical data packages and courseware deliverables

Do you have what it takes?
  • Must have and maintain a DoD SECRET clearance
  • 0 to 5 years of technical writing, systems support, or Navy combat system experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related field preferred
  • Familiarity with Navy technical documentation or S1000D data modules a plus
  • Strong written communication and document production skills required
  • Navy veteran with electronics technician, sonar technician (STG), or IT rating experience a plus

*Position contingent upon contract award*

VTG’s estimated starting pay range is $67,000-$149,000 which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.
