This role is responsible for supporting and optimizing business processes within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, helping stakeholders improve efficiency, data quality, reporting, and operational effectiveness.The ideal candidate has foundational business analysis experience, strong process-oriented thinking, and a desire to learn manufacturing and ERP business processes. While this is not a development role, the Business Analyst will work closely with internal technical resources and third-party implementation partners to gather requirements, support testing, document processes, and ensure technology solutions align with business needs.Location: Sugar Land, TXType: OnsiteEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesBusiness Analysis & Requirements ManagementPartner with stakeholders across Production, Operations, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Finance, and IT to understand business processes and challenges.Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for system enhancements, process improvements, and reporting needs.Develop process maps, workflows, functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.Analyze current business processes and identify opportunities for efficiency, accuracy, automation, and standardization.Serve as a liaison between business users and technical resources throughout project and enhancement lifecycles.Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional SupportSupport day-to-day business processes within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.Assist users with system-related questions, process troubleshooting, and identification of improvement opportunities.Participate in evaluating configuration changes and enhancements to support evolving business requirements.Help maintain functional documentation, business procedures, and system process guides.Support data quality initiatives and promote best practices for ERP usage across departments.Production & Operations Process SupportSupport business processes related to production planning, manufacturing operations, inventory management, purchasing, and warehouse activities.Work with operations leaders to identify process bottlenecks and opportunities to improve throughput, efficiency, and visibility.Assist in documenting and improving workflows related to production orders, inventory transactions, procurement, and operational reporting.Support KPI and reporting initiatives that provide management visibility into operational performance.Help ensure ERP processes align with business objectives while maintaining data integrity and operational consistency.Project & Vendor CoordinationCollaborate with third-party implementation partners, consultants, and software vendors supporting Business Central enhancements and projects.Assist in reviewing proposed solutions to ensure alignment with documented business requirements.Coordinate requirements clarification, testing activities, issue resolution, and project communications.Track project tasks, action items, risks, and dependencies while keeping stakeholders informed of progress.Participate in system upgrades, implementations, and continuous improvement initiatives.Testing, Training & Change ManagementDevelop and execute functional test scripts and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.Validate that system enhancements meet business requirements and operational needs.Document issues, enhancement requests, and testing results.Create user guides, process documentation, and training materials.Support user training and adoption activities for new processes and system enhancements.Reporting & Continuous ImprovementAssist in gathering reporting requirements and defining operational KPIs.Support the development and validation of dashboards, reports, and business insights.Analyze business data to identify trends, exceptions, and process improvement opportunities.Recommend operational and process improvements that increase efficiency and data reliability.Promote continuous improvement and business process standardization across the organization.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field.1-3 years of experience as a Business Analyst, ERP Analyst, Operations Analyst, or related role.Experience supporting ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Dynamics NAV, SAP, Oracle, Infor, Epicor, or similar platforms is preferred.Understanding of manufacturing, production, inventory, supply chain, or operational business processes is preferred.Familiarity with requirements gathering, process mapping, workflow documentation, and business process improvement methodologies.Ability to communicate effectively with both business users and technical teams.Experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT), issue tracking, and system implementations is preferred.Experience working with third-party consultants, managed service providers, or software vendors is a plus.Familiarity with reporting and analytics tools such as Power BI, Excel PivotTables, and ERP reporting solutions is preferred.Basic understanding of ERP data structures, integrations, and business systems concepts.Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps) is a plus.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.Ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities in a fast-paced environment.Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality work.Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders across production, operations, supply chain, customer service, finance, and IT.Manufacturing or distribution industry experience is highly desirable.Ideal Candidate Profile1-3 years of business analysis or ERP support
