What Will Be On Your Plate?
Job Title: Natural Living Clerk
Department: Natural Living/Vitamins
Reports To: Natural Living Manager
FLSA Status: Nonexempt
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Natural Living Clerk is responsible for providing service that exceeds the expectations of customers by performing the following duties (other duties may be assigned):
  • Fills customer orders by obtaining items from shelves, coolers, bins, tables, or containers.
  • Assures that all items in the Natural Living Department are in code and within their expiration date.
  • Rotates stock to assure high quality, and fresh merchandise at all times.
  • Required to operate a cash register following established policies and procedures.
  • Accurately prices all merchandise by stamping, marking, or placing shelf tags and signs.
  • Stock shelves and merchandise throughout the department.

Customer Service Skills
The Natural Living Clerk is expected to provide customer service that is extra ordinary and exceeds the expectations of our customers. They are required to follow established policies and guidelines that go beyond simply smiling and greeting customers. Going above and beyond encompasses attitudes, respect, and flexibility. The Natural Living Clerk is expected to have a positive "can-do" attitude; to treat others with respect; and to easily adjust to changes in the workplace.
Education and/or Experience
High School diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the Natural Living Clerk is regularly required to stand for long periods; walk; frequently use of hands; hands to finger; and handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The Natural Living Clerk occasionally is required to reach with hands and arms. The Natural Living Clerk is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The Natural Living Clerk must frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and color vision.
