Job description

Location: TRIBAL AGING UNIT WITTENBERG
Department: Tribal Aging Unit
Summary:
POSITION OVERVIEW
The TAU Cook is responsible for planning menus and serving meals for the Elders at the TAU meal sites.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION:
1.Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
2.Preferably Culinary degree or minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience in cooking in restaurant, hotel or Elder meal site.
ESSENTIAL:
1.Must have a valid driver's license, dependable transportation, and proper insurance.
2.Must promote a positive, non-abusive, healthy lifestyle.
3.Must obtain ServSafe certification within one year.
4.Must attend a cultural sensitivity class and show respect for Elders.
EXPERIENCE:
1.Knowledge of nutritional needs for Elders and experience in food preparation for large groups of people.
2.Must be at least 21 years of age and in good physical condition, congenial and friendly.
3.Preferably Native American, who understands and speaks Ho-Chunk to Ho-Chunk Elders.
