The Details:
  • Location: City of Laguna Beach
  • Position: On-Demand Driver
  • Schedule: Part - Time Shifts vary between Mon - Sun
  • Pay Rate: $21.00 hour - The rate will temporarily increase to $24.00 an hour for the summer peak season, June-Sept.
  • Shift availability: AM or PM Shift
  • MUST WORK WEEKENDS WITH WEEKDAYS OFF. SCHEDULE WILL CHANGE FOR SUMMER SEASON WITH LATER SHIFTS/HOURS

Requirements:
  • Class C license or Commercial License Class A or Class B
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to pass MVR (Driving Record)

Spirit of the Position:
LAZ Shuttle Driver is responsible for the effective, efficient and safe transportation, loading and unloading of passengers & employees to and from the assigned destinations, and to ensure that all activities support the safety and welfare of all passengers.
Principal Job Duties:
  • Safely operating company vehicles.
  • GET 100 (Greet, Engage, and Thank the Guest - 100% of the time).
  • Assist passengers when boarding and exiting the vehicle, including ADA passengers if applicable.
  • Effectively communicating and working in a team environment to achieve maximum productivity.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work self-sufficiently while performing daily tasks as a professional driver.

Requirements:
  • 2 or more years of driving experience.
  • Comply with Federal DOT, State Rules/Regulations, and Company Policy.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Valid Driver's License with passenger endorsement if applicable for state regulations.
  • Ability to successfully perform and pass a DOT physical examination.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays.
  • Ability to bend at the knees or squat frequently throughout a shift
  • Willingness to work in inclement weather (rain, sleet, snow, heat, high wind, etc.)

Physical Demands:
  • Ability to physically push/pull/lift to 50lbs
