Job description

Wanco Inc. is seeking a Quality Inspection Technician in our Arvada, CO production facility.

Summary:

Quality Inspectors are responsible for inspecting and testing products and ensuring that products meet Wanco Inc’s quality standards before they are shipped or used in production.

Essential Functions:

· Approve in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to line leads.

· Maintain productive relationships with line leads by communicating inspection results and driving correction upstream to the root cause.

· Approve incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning non-conforming materials.

· Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into a quality database.

· Keep measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions; calling for repairs.

· Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by complying with standards and procedures.

· Assist in other quality functions as directed.

Qualifications/ Skills:

· High School or GED Degree

· Experience with mechanical and electrical assembly (certification or Associate’s degree preferred, but not required)

· Proficiency in reading blueprint drawings preferred

· High school and or college-level math

· Data entry, typing, Microsoft suite experience including spreadsheets

· Analytical and troubleshooting skills preferred

Physical Requirements:

· Mobility to work in a factory and warehouse setting including the use of standard office equipment, including a computer

· Some travel may be required

Reporting: This position reports to the Quality Lead and has no direct reports.

Salary Range: $22-$26 per hour DOE.
