Job Purpose

This position will support the design, development, testing and operational phases ofprojects

undertaken at PERATON Labs, the research and development arm of PERATON corporation.This position requires the successful candidate to work closely witha diverse team of engineering,scientific and technical staff to develop novel solutions in support of such projects.

Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • Design,develop, and test of experimental and productionInstrumentation & Controlsystems.
  • Providingtechnicaloversight of staff when appropriate.
  • ProvidingHands-on work to test electronics,software,diagnose failures and render repairs if needed.
  • Developand reviewdocumentation packages includingprocess control diagrams,schematics,wiringdiagrams,drawings,andtest plans.
  • Developing embeddedcomputingand digitalsignalprocessingdesigns andapplications.
  • Providingexpertise in analyzing analog and digital circuitry with both known and unknown properties.
  • Preparing design review material such as presentation, simulation, analysis and other keycommunicablecomponents for both internaland externaldesignreviews.
  • Review design document packages formanufacturability,testability anddesign validation.

The successful candidate has diversified knowledge of principles and practices in engineering.

Adegree in Electrical or Computer Engineeringis requiredwith the following experiencelevels:

  • BSwith 8or more yearsof experience.
  • MSwith 6or more years of experience.
  • PhDwith 3or more years of experience.

Required Skills/Attributes

  • Experience with National Instruments equipment (cRio, cDAQ, PXI)
  • Experience implementing and updating design with National Instruments Labview

  • Experience with implementing designs for Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).

Target Salary Range

$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
