Aclara Technologies, LLC has an opening for Senior Software Engineer - UX out of Herndon, Virginia.
The Senior Software Engineer - UX develops and tests software systems or applications for software enhancements and new products.
A Day In The Life
Every day at Hubbell is different and you'll contribute in many ways. On any given day, you'll make a difference by:
  • Develop software frameworks, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Develop new user-facing features using frameworks such as React.js, Angular, or Vue.js.
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
  • Conduct UI tests and optimize performance.
  • Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end services.
  • This position is a hybrid role; may work from home up to 2 days per week, as permitted.

What will help you thrive in this role?
  • Must possess at least a bachelor's degree or its equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related field and at least 5 years of progressive experience as a Software Engineer or in a related role.
  • Must possess at least 5 years of experience with object-oriented software development, web application development and rest services
  • Must possess at least 5 years of experience working in Windows/Linux/Unix environments application frameworks (such as Spring or Hibernate, .NET)
  • Must possess at least 5 years of experience with databases such as SQL Server, MySQL or similar
  • Must possess at least 5 years of experience with Java, C# (including ecosystems), service-oriented architecture (SOA), and web applications
  • Must possess at least 5 years of experience with object-oriented programming, concepts of MVC, JDBC, and Restful, GUI frameworks, and concurrency patterns in Java
  • Must possess at least 2 years of utility domain experience.
