Job description

WORK OBJECTIVE Seeking to fill one opening in: Cemetery Division Performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled work in the operation of a variety of heavy equipment and manual labor associated with the equipment's use. Work assignment focuses on limited areas within the City responsibilities. Work is performed under limited supervision with moderate latitude.

Position relies on experience and exercises independent judgment to determine the best approach by using and interpreting policies and procedures. Three (3) or more years' experience in the operation of heavy equipment.

Experience in stormwater, water distribution, sewer transmission is preferred; or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience. Must have National Incident Management System (NIMS) certification (level to be determined by job classification requirements) or obtain within one (1) year of employment. Must have a valid Florida Class B commercial driver's license with an air brake endorsement and maintain satisfactory driving record throughout employment.

In addition to meeting the minimum qualifications listed above, an individual must be able to perform each of the established essential functions in order to perform this job successfully.
