Position: Associate Specialist, Race Fuels

Reports to: Sr. Manager, Race Fuels Strategy & Operations
Team: Small, high-performing Race Fuels sales and operations team
Role Summary
The Associate Specialist will play a central role in supporting business, logistics, and financial processes across the Race Fuels division. This position serves as an operational and commercial bridge, ensuring smooth order processing, accurate accounting support, and timely logistics coordination while enabling strategic growth initiatives in motorsports and distribution.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial & Operational Support
  • Process and track distributor orders, coordinate with blend plant for production and shipment scheduling.
  • Manage invoicing, fuel credits, and sponsored racer and engine builder program credits.
  • Support customer and vendor onboarding, billing, and maintenance in SAP and related systems.
  • Handle inbound inquiries through the 1-800-RACE-GAS hotline and website contact channels.
  • Assist with marketing and technical team projects, ensuring alignment with brand objectives.
  • Complete EOY quality reporting functions for compliance
  • Manage rail shipments and invoices
  • File BOLs and maintain shipping records and correspondence for freight logistics partners

Financial & Analytical Functions
  • Execute month-end close tasks and prepare volume/financial reports.
  • Research cost efficiencies in logistics, materials, and packaging.
  • Develop Excel-based dashboards, pivot tables, and digital tools to visualize sales and market data.
  • Collaborate on projects improving data accuracy, reporting efficiency, and customer visibility.

Required Skills and Competencies
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience and 0-2 years of relevant experience
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; professional presence on calls and in emails.
  • Advanced Excel, Right-Angle, and SAP proficiency required.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and Sunoco's internal ERP/business software.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight timelines.
