We are currently looking for a Universal Banker to join our Independence branch team.
Job Summary:
Our Universal Bankers provide quality customer service and promote NASB’s products, services, and thoughtful solutions to make banking easy for our customers.
You will be instrumental to the success of NASB by:
  • Providing outstanding customer service, greeting each customer as they enter the bank, answering the phone promptly, and taking ownership of each interaction; this includes the support of our mortgage sales team by making referrals.
  • Assisting customers in their selection of various accounts and financial services, administering accounts, and positively impacting retention of current customers while achieving branch sales and service goals.
  • Resolving any problems, issues, or questions to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Always maintaining a positive, friendly, and professional attitude.
  • Assisting with all branch level marketing activities and promotions.
  • Performing applicable aspects of daily operations, including opening new accounts, cash controls, balancing, exercising fraud prevention, handling customer transactions, and accurately completing all CIP requirements.
  • Adhering to all policies and procedures, including those related to the Bank’s Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering (BSA/AML) compliance program.
You will be instrumental to the success of NASB by having:
  • A High school diploma, GED or foreign equivalent required, college degree or military equivalent preferred.
  • One year’s experience in a Retail or Sales environment engaging with customers and making product recommendations leading to sales or relevant experience required.
  • Credit and background checks will be required.
  • Ability to work branch hours Monday - Friday and alternate Saturday mornings.
  • Ability to learn products, services, and procedures quickly and accurately.
  • Financial management and responsibility skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with a demonstrated ability to adapt the conversation of the NASB products/services based on the customers varying needs in person and over the phone.
  • Basic math skills: including the ability to solve problems and quickly identify currency denominations.
  • Time management and organizational skills, including being detail-oriented and thorough.
  • Bilingual desired, but not required.
  • Sound judgment and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 25 pounds occasionally
