PROLIM Global Corporation (www.prolim.com) is currently seeking a Cable and Harness Technician 2 for our client Northrop Grumman at location Goleta, California, United States (Onsite).

Description Of Services
  • The Cable and Harness Technician will manufacture electrical harness assemblies for spacecraft components, interpreting schematics to build compliant assemblies and performing basic electrical tests such as continuity and insulation resistance.
  • Duties include diligently maintaining and completing paperwork and electronic data for hardware assemblies to ensure data and material traceability, while following procedures and collaborating with engineers on process development.
  • This role requires knowledge of soldering, wire stripping, contact crimping, harness routing, strain relief techniques, structural bonding, and the application of epoxy/silicone adhesives.
  • The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, organized, able to lift up to 40 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work flexible hours/overtime on the 2nd shift to meet demanding manufacturing schedules.

Skills/Experience
  • High school diploma or GED and at least 2 years of additional education and/or related experience -- (Required)
  • Experience building electrical harness assemblies and interpreting schematics -- (Required)
  • Knowledge of basic electrical tests (continuity, insulation resistance) -- (Required)
  • Knowledge of soldering, wire stripping, contact crimping, and harness routing -- (Required)
  • Current or past certification in soldering or related skills -- (Required)
  • Ability to read/write/work to instructions in English and follow engineering drawings -- (Required)
  • Ability to lift/push/pull up to 40 lbs and be on feet for extended periods -- (Required)
  • J-STD-001, NASA STD 8739.1, or NASA STD 8739.4 Certification -- (Preferred)
  • Familiarity with solar cell technology and CIC wiring -- (Preferred)
  • U.S. Citizen able to obtain DoD Secret clearance -- (Preferred)
  • Experience with ISO requirements and compliance -- (Preferred)
