Starting Wage: $21.50 per hour DOE

Position Summary

The Nursing Assistant Registered (NAR) provides direct resident care by assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), promoting resident comfort and dignity, and creating a welcoming dining experience through outstanding customer service during meal times. Our NARs are essential for our residents well being and play a key role in enhancing each resident's quality of life.

Primary Responsibilities Resident Care
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and oral hygiene.
  • Assist residents with transfers, repositioning, and ambulation using safe lifting techniques and equipment.
  • Observe residents and promptly report changes in condition to the licensed nurse.
  • Answer resident call lights promptly and courteously.
  • Maintain resident dignity, privacy, and independence at all times.
  • Assist with making beds, organizing resident rooms, and maintaining a clean, safe environment.
Dining Services & Customer Service
  • Prepare dining rooms before each meal by ensuring tables are clean, organized, and welcoming.
  • Escort residents to and from the dining room as needed.
  • Assist residents with meal setup and feeding according to care plans.
  • Encourage hydration and nutritional intake.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with residents in a friendly, respectful, and compassionate manner.
  • Assist with dining room cleanup following each meal.
Teamwork
  • Communicate effectively with nurses, therapy, dietary, activities, and other departments.
  • Participate in shift report and resident care planning.
  • Support coworkers to ensure residents receive timely, high-quality care.
  • Follow all infection prevention and safety procedures.

Requirements

Qualifications
  • Current Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registered (NAR) status.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members.
  • Compassionate, dependable, and positive attitude.
  • Ability to work independently while functioning as part of a team.
  • Previous long-term care experience preferred but not required.
