Professional development as required and approved by your supervisor, and attendance of, or participation in, mandatory meetings and/or events as directed by your supervisor including but not limited to Director’s Days. All employees will be paid appropriately and according to current law.Essential FunctionsDigital Content Strategy, Production, & FulfillmentImmersed in the life of the school, conceive, capture, and tell compelling stories via video, photography, and other digital formats that showcase the people, programs, traditions, signature events, and mission of Sacred Heart Schools, Atherton (SHS), ensuring multiple projects move efficiently from concept to completion both on-time and on-budget.Partner closely with the Dir., Communications & PR to create and execute a digital content strategy that supports internal and external school communications, news, and storytelling through visual media (video/photography) for use across multiple channels and platforms.Lead end-to-end video and digital production: idea generation, storytelling concept, storyboarding, interviewing, lighting, sound, editing, color grading, and titling/graphics/motion graphics to support school-wide communications.Partner with and provide cross-departmental support to key institutional clients—Admissions, Advancement, Mission, and/or other key departments and staff—to develop, project manage, film, and produce high-quality video content that supports the SHS narrative and aids in meeting recruitment, retention, and fundraising targets.Apply expert-level project portfolio management skills to manage the full lifecycle production for multiple concurrent projects, maintaining strict timelines, approvals, proactively updating stakeholders, anticipating any bottlenecks, and maintaining quality standards.Steward and model appropriate use of the SHS brand, ensuring every visual story reflects the school’s mission, values, reputation, standards of excellence across all platforms, meets institutional goals, and ensures all media assets comply with copyright laws and music licensing standards.Provide support for high-profile activities and events of the COMMs, Advancement, and Admissions teams (e.g., Auction, Alumni events, other), as well as Director of Schools.Document via video/photography key campus events and oversee digital publishing, including social media posts, reels, photo galleries, web updates, and full management of the school’s Vimeo channel.Track, analyze, and report performance metrics for video and digital storytelling initiatives, making recommendations to improve audience reach, engagement, and conversion based on analytics and periodic A/B testing.Other ResponsibilitiesOffer guidance/support as needed/requested to colleagues and students in areas of visual storytelling mediums, legal standards, and best practices.Other duties as assigned by the Chief Communications Officer and/or Dir., Communications & PR.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Journalism, Film & Video, English, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or related field, with 3-5+ years of end-to end video project management and production experience in a fast-paced environment.Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Audition, Lightroom, Photoshop), Sony mirrorless cameras, drones/GoPros, and audio/lighting gear. Current drone certification (FAA Part 107) is highly desired.Strong understanding of copyright laws and regulation related to digital media/video production and marketing.Success in this role requires equal parts creativity, collaboration, and organization, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects while working closely with fellow digital storytellers on the team.Outgoing, curious, collaborative, and experienced putting interview subjects at ease, including “teasing out”—through potential multiple takes—thoughtful viewpoints and soundbites from a filmed subject. with the goal of eliciting an emotional response from the viewer/audience.Committed to delivering excellent customer service and a collegial attitude at all times. Able to effectively communicate with school personnel, parents, students, alumni, donors, trustees, vendors, and others as a representative of SHS and the COMMs team, employing an impeccable professional demeanor and willing attitude.Self-driven and detail-oriented, comfortable working closely as part of a team as well as independently, capable of managing shifting priorities with minimal supervision, demonstrating unwavering flexibility.Importantly, poised, patient, professional, and possessing a good sense of humor.Physical Requirements and Work EnvironmentWorks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment dealing with a wide variety of challenges, clients, colleagues, and projects.Must be available and willing to work evenings and weekends to support school events, productions, and deadlines.
