Job description

About the Role:
Wayne Early Learning Center is looking for a warm, nurturing Part-Time Infant Room Teacher to join our dedicated early childhood team in Wayne, PA. This is a wonderful opportunity to make a meaningful impact during the most critical stage of a child's development. If you have a passion for caring for the youngest learners and creating a safe, loving environment, we'd love to meet you!
This is an afternoon position, the hours are 2-5 M-F.
We are offering a $600 starting bonus
Responsibilities:
  • Provide attentive, compassionate daily care for infants in a safe and nurturing classroom environment
  • Support infant development through age-appropriate activities, sensory play, and responsive interactions
  • Maintain accurate daily logs including feeding schedules, diapering, nap times, and developmental observations
  • Communicate openly and professionally with parents and guardians regarding their child's daily progress
  • Ensure classroom cleanliness, sanitation, and adherence to health and safety protocols
  • Collaborate with lead teachers and staff to implement developmentally appropriate curriculum
  • Follow all licensing regulations and center policies related to infant care
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with infants in a childcare, daycare, or early learning setting preferred
  • Knowledge of infant developmental milestones and best practices in early childhood education
  • Current or ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification
  • Ability to meet Pennsylvania childcare licensing requirements and pass background clearances
  • Warm, patient, and dependable demeanor with a genuine love for working with babies
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build trust with families
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework in Early Childhood Education a plus
