Job Summary:
We are looking for a nurturing and dependable assistant teacher to join our 1-year-old classroom! This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with toddlers, supports their curiosity, and can help create a safe, engaging environment where little ones can grow and thrive. As part of our teaching team, you'll assist with daily routines, guide children through age-appropriate activities, and provide lots of love, patience, and support during this important developmental stage.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist the lead teacher in carrying out the curriculum and daily activities, including long and short-range goals.
  • Maintain a consistent daily routine, including classroom structures, mealtimes, physical play, a nap period, and outside play.
  • Assist in conflict management between children in the classroom; teach them skills they still need to learn.
  • Being respectful and creating partnerships with your co-workers; must possess a solid ability to communicate positively and openly.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment for children and staff; this includes cleaning responsibilities throughout the day.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Availability 6:00 am to 6:30 pm
  • Previous experience as a teacher's aide is preferred
  • Understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management
  • Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to closely adhere to the guidelines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Energetic and positive attitude
  • Genuine passion for working with young children
  • Patience, compassion, and a nurturing attitude

Compensation: $13.00 - $17.00 per hour
WORKING AT OUR CENTER:
We see ourselves as teachers, educators, and leaders and believe we have one of the most important jobs in the world! Serving and disciplining the future generation! We provide care for children ages 6 weeks up to 12 years old, Monday through Friday, from 6:30 AM- 6:00 PM. We are one of the highest-rated childcare providers on Google in Boise! Our teachers base their monthly lesson plans on a preschool curriculum called ABC Jesus Loves Me, which is designed for ages 2-5. Teachers are encouraged to plan field trips whenever possible to support learning, request supplies needed for classroom and curriculum purposes, and participate in the annual Christmas Program! Schedules can be flexible, and we offer both full-time and part-time positions. Each new hire is taken through a training process to familiarize them with working at our center and welcome them to the team. But we don't stop there! We provide ongoing daily support to all of our teachers, and we are there for you to collaborate, brainstorm, and set goals to take you to the next level of your career!
