Job Title: Payments Operations Specialist ( java backend )
Location: Tampa, FL
Work Model: 5 Days Onsite (Full Onsite Role)
$30 Hr on c2c
Key Responsibilities
Process and monitor daily ACH transactions including debits, credits, returns, and exceptions.
Execute daily payment operations across Wires, ACH, H2H, and API-based payment flows.
Support client onboarding, client refresh activities, and payment file configuration.
Perform operational readiness checks and assist with implementations for payment-related updates.
Troubleshoot payment issues and coordinate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies quickly.
Ensure all payment activities comply with NACHA rules, regulatory guidelines, and internal controls.
Handle exceptions, manage queues, and escalate operational issues as needed.
Prepare reconciliations, reports, and documentation for audits and internal reviews.
Collaborate closely with operations, product, technology, and onboarding teams to improve processes.
Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and client-facing teams regarding payment inquiries.
Required Qualifications
3+ years of experience in payment operations, treasury operations, or banking operations.
Hands-on experience with ACH, Wires, and payment processing platforms.
Strong understanding of NACHA rules and payment exception workflows.
Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with high accuracy.
Knowledge of API and H2H payment workflows is a strong plus.
