HOURS ARE 5am-2pmSummary: Assists FSQ Management in the maintenance of overall product quality and safety. Assists in the effective completion of tasks and documentation of FSQ responsibilities.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesReceives leadership and daily direction from shift FSQ Sr. Technician & Supervisor.Routinely observes production activities to assure consistency and conformance to standards, as well as providing improvement suggestions.Assists in the effective completion and documentation of daily, weekly, and monthly scheduled tasks as required.Notifies FSQ Sr. Tech or Tech Level 3 when non-conformances are noted, assists with scheduling product evaluations, and assuring proper documentation.Assists Quality Management with verification and validation by collecting the required data.Perform required finished product testing and the effective completion of documentation and data entry.Maintain the condition of the FSQ supplies required for daily operation.Organize finished product retainsConduct Food Safety Inspections in the production environment (i.e. inter-batch cleaning)Conducting Daily, Weekly and Monthly tasksExecute visual chemistry tests on raw materials, water sources, in-process samples, environmental samples and finished productsMay be responsible for performing QPE and Packout auditing for batch adherence and label and code quality.Tracking, verification and data entry of raw material specification and COAs.Informs the team of raw material issuesOperate, maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments as requiredEnsure compliance of incoming labels and packagingMay complete FSQ related production records to assure conformance to requirements.Inspect finished product for food safety hazards including foreign material.Filing QA documentation as requested.Other duties with similar skill, work conditions, and responsibilities as assigned.Responsibilities for Food Safety and Quality:Responsible for completing required paperwork accurately and honestly, where applicable.Must adhere to posted GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) when working within the production facility.Responsible for reporting suspicious packages, activities and individuals, where applicable.If monitoring CCPs (Critical Control Points), must be trained in HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) and adhere to approved HACCP plan(s).Oversees the execution of validation and verification activities for food safety programs.Monitor and enforce quality control points using control charts and culinary ability.Monitor and carry-out various batch control tests and product sampling to ensure process is in control.Quality systems development and management.Specification development, approval and review with R&D or Culinary Assurance.Sensory evaluation of key ingredients and attributes.Statistical Process Control (SPC) analysis of key analytical data.Continuous improvement projects both individually and as a member of a team.Log data and report trends using information gathered.Communicate any continuous improvement opportunities to Process Engineering.Education and/or Experience High School Diploma preferred.Food handling experience preferredManufacturing experience preferredCustomer service experience welcomedOur Total Compensation Package Includes: Medical, dental and vision benefits401k with Company matchPaid time off including vacation, sick time and holidaysEducation Assistance ProgramLife Insurance and Short-Term DisabilityDiscounts on Blount products at Company retail locations
