Job description

We are seeking a skilled Coating Applicator for both commercial and residential projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in applying coatings such as elastomeric, silicon, and paint using various machines. They should be proficient in machine operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance to ensure efficient and effective application.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
●     Apply elastomeric, silicon, and paint coatings to roofs and other surfaces using spraying equipment and techniques.
●     Perform setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of coating machines and related equipment.
●     Prepare surfaces thoroughly before coating application, ensuring proper cleaning, priming, and masking as necessary.
●     Perform repairs and adjustments on coating equipment to maintain optimal performance.
●     Install Z-bar, roof flashings, scuppers, and other necessary components as part of coating projects.
●     Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and team members.
●     Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and job progress.
 
Requirements:
 
●     Proven experience as a Coating Applicator or similar role, with demonstrated proficiency in applying elastomeric, silicon, and paint coatings.
●     Visual inspection of coating thickness, coverage, and being able to identify deficiencies.
●     Ability to operate and maintain various spraying equipment, grinding equipment, and tools effectively.
●     Knowledge of surface preparation techniques and materials.
●     Familiarity with installation of Z-bar, roof flashings, and scuppers is preferred.
●     Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve equipment issues promptly.
●     Attention to detail and ability to follow specific instructions and safety protocols.
●     Physical capability to lift and move heavy materials and equipment as required.
●     Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
 
●     Certification or training in coatings application, equipment operation, or related field.
●     Bilingual
●     Minimum 2 years experience in coating roofs/elastomeric use, silicon, paints
●     Prior experience in both commercial and residential settings.
●     Familiarity with different types of roofing systems and materials.
