A NACE Level 1 Coating Inspector is a professional trained and certified by the National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE) to perform basic inspections of protective coatings, such as paint, on structures and equipment. Level 1 inspectors are responsible for observing surface preparation and coating application, documenting inspection results, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and specifications.
