About the Opportunity

Brattleboro Memorial Hospital (BMH) is seeking a full-time, BC/BE Staff MD Cardiologist to join a well-established, primarily outpatient noninvasive cardiology practice in Brattleboro, Vermont. This is a rare opportunity to step into a structured, no-call role within a collaborative multi-specialty medical group that values quality patient care, diagnostic excellence, and work-life balance.

You will work alongside one physician and two Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), serving a consistent patient panel with strong referral network support from internal medicine, neurology, orthopaedics, and other specialties within the BMH Medical Group.


Position Highlights
  • Zero call obligations — no nights, no weekends, no overnight responsibilities

  • Monday–Friday schedule, approximately 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

  • Full-time employed position in an established outpatient cardiology practice

  • Collaborative team: 1 physician + 2 APPs with full clinical staff support

  • Strong referral network ensuring consistent patient volume and continuity of care

  • Opportunity to develop procedural skills: echo, stress testing, device management

  • Community hospital setting with a mission-driven, patient-focused culture

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive outpatient noninvasive cardiology care across a structured weekday clinic

  • Manage an established patient panel in a team-based, collaborative clinical environment

  • Perform and interpret EKGs for diagnostic evaluation and treatment planning

  • Conduct and interpret ambulatory cardiac monitoring

  • Perform transthoracic echocardiography (TTE)

  • Potential to perform nuclear stress testing and stress echocardiography

  • Opportunity for device management (preferred skill set, not required)

  • Coordinate inpatient and advanced cardiovascular care needs with referral centers

  • Collaborate across specialties including internal medicine, neurology, and orthopaedics

  • Maintain high-quality documentation, patient safety standards, and diagnostic accuracy


Qualifications & Requirements
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology (required)

    • If Board Eligible, graduation date must be noted in submission details

  • Active Vermont Medical License or willingness to obtain prior to start (required)

  • DEA License — must be obtained prior to start (required, no exemptions)

  • CPR for Healthcare Providers certification (required, no exemptions)

  • NPDB Self-Query Report within the last 30 days (required at presentation, no exemptions)

  • Excellent diagnostic and clinical problem-solving skills (required)

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for patient and team collaboration (required)

  • Minimum 1 year of post-residency experience (new graduates not eligible)
