Calibration Technician - Second Shift


Erdos Miller is a long-term focused company seeking a Calibration Technician to initialize, calibrate and functionally test Measurement While Drilling (MWD) tools for the oil and gas industry.

After initial training, you can expect to:

  • Work a Second Shift schedule.
  • Proficiently follow work instructions for calibrating MWD tools and document theprogress on digital work order travelers.
  • Handle high-temperature equipment for calibrating MWD tools and thermaltesting purposes.
  • Perform full calibration process.
  • Take initiative to meet daily and weekly commitments.
  • Identify out-of-spec data when compared to internal standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
  • Proficiently use all job-related software and computer programs such as MSOffice, MS Teams, SharePoint, Toolhub and Smartsheet.
  • Identify and communicate opportunities for improvement within themanufacturing, calibration, and testing areas of the company.
  • Communicate with other team members when experiencing any work-relatedequipment, controls or system issues which disrupt the manufacturing calibrationor testing processes.
  • Ensure that work-in-progress work orders are staged and organized efficiently inthe work area.
  • Be cross trained in other manufacturing processes such as functional and ringout testing, thermal testing, and Highly Accelerated Stress Screening (HASS)testing.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Travel requirements when needed.


Preferred Skills or Qualifications:

  • Proficient knowledge and experience in handling mechanical and electricalassemblies.
  • Experience with software/computer-based test equipment.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Adaptability to multitasking.
  • MUST be able to stand for up to 9 hours per day.
  • Good manual dexterity.
  • Ability to work weekends as needed.
  • Willingness to work night shifts as needed.
  • Effective communication.
