This role will report directly to the COO and is open to candidates relocating to El Paso, TX.
The Vice President of Fleet Maintenance oversees all company maintenance operations, ensuring equipment, facility, and fleet reliability, safety, and regulatory compliance. They develop maintenance strategies, manage multi-million-dollar budgets, and lead technical teams to minimize downtime and optimize performance. This executive role requires strong leadership and strategic planning.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the MVT fleet maintenance teams, ensuring compliance with company policies, safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Reduce MVT's overall cost of ownership of equipment.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor maintenance staff, cultivating a culture of customer-focused service, technical proficiency, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate closely with vendors to establish maintenance protocols, performance metrics, and communication channels that foster a strong partnership.
  • Analyze equipment maintenance data and performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement, cost reduction, and enhanced reliability.
  • Ensure the company's maintenance facilities and equipment are compliant with DOT and OSHA regulations.

Background Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Business, or a related field is typically required.
  • 5+ years in maintenance management, with a proven track record in leadership and operational strategy.
  • Strong technical knowledge of equipment/facilities, proficiency in budgeting software, and excellent project management skills.
