Nick Rail Music is seeking EXPERIENCED WOODWIND AND BRASS MUSIC TEACHERS to teach private and group music lessons.
Nick Rail Music is a family owned chain of music stores that have served Southern California for over 30 years. We are looking for qualified music teachers to teach lessons in our music studios. We are looking for teachers for a variety of instruments in all instrument families.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The purpose of this job is to teach music lessons to students so they can enjoy learning to play solo and within a group. You will constantly be working to increase student count while ensuring each current student continues to grow, develop, and enjoy playing music.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
  • Teach private/group lessons
  • Communicate with parents of students (where applicable) on the progress of each student
  • Assisting with customer service issues as needed, helping to maintain long term students by creating a great experience
  • Assign practice and other music-related homework to expand the student's knowledge of music

  • Skilled ability to demonstrate competency and proficiency in the area they will be teaching
  • Collaboration: Able to develop cooperation and teamwork while participating in a group. Good team player, able to build good working relationships with students, care givers and other employees.
  • Customer Focus: Understands customer service principles, and able to provide an excellent customer experience to a wide array of students and customers of all ages. Is approachable, genuine, knowledgeable, encouraging, passionate, and committed to helping customers. Maintains a positive approach to growing the lessons business.
  • Interpersonal Communication: Able to communicate through various means (written and verbal) with diverse, individuals, at all levels in a clear, concise, positive, and courteous manner. Able to demonstrate respect to others, surroundings, and self.
