Job description

VITAS Healthcare(r) is looking for musical volunteers who are able to play musical instruments and/or sing for hospice patients living at home or in long term care facilities.

Music allows a patient to express feelings without talking. By playing or singing their favorite songs or hymns, VITAS music volunteers help patients and families reconnect with feelings and memories that can bring a sense of peace and happiness.

VITAS provides training on how to work with people at the end of life, and the volunteer provides the talent, compassion and time.

Assignments are made according to the volunteer’s time and location.
