Job Description
Our Lady of Mount Carmel School in Bristol, Rhode Island, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Music Teacher to join our school community. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in music education and a commitment to fostering a love of music in students of varying ages and abilities.
The Music Teacher will support and uphold the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of Our Lady of Mount Carmel School by adhering to the policies and procedures of the Diocese of Providence. This individual will create a positive and engaging learning environment that encourages students to develop their musical talents, creativity, and appreciation for the arts.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive music lessons tailored to students' needs and abilities in Pre-K 3 to Grade 8.
  • Plan, organize, and execute the Christmas and Spring concerts, including rehearsals and performance logistics.
  • Encourage student participation and foster a positive learning environment.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with other staff and parents to support student development.
  • Creating positive and open communication with parents about their child’s progress in school
  • Maintaining current and accurate records according to school policy

Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a music teacher or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of music theory, instruments, and vocal techniques.
  • Experience planning and executing school concerts or similar events.
