Music Director
Job Overview:

Ministerio Internacional El Rey Jesus, Inc. is seeking a full-time Music Director for its church music ministry in Miami, Florida.
The Music Director will plan and lead musical programs for worship services and events; direct musicians and vocalists; conduct rehearsals; prepare musical arrangements; manage sound production; and assist with the recording of worship music.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Serves as Music Director and principal musical authority for the Praise & Worship Department
Provides spiritual and musical leadership for the KJW team
Plans and directs all musical aspects of services, rehearsals, and special events
Leads weekly band rehearsals and coordinates with worship leaders for service planning
Assists in the pre-production, production, and post-production of music content and live
events
Manages the arrangement, structure, and execution of musical scores and worship sets
Coordinates along side executive producer to work with studio engineers and producers to
record, edit, mix, and master music projects
Collaborates with the Executive Producer on creative direction for musical projects
Provides mentoring and coaching to musicians in areas of flow, theory, and spiritual growth
Oversees scheduling, auditioning, and development of new musicians and vocalists
Directs and implements music programming, including use of software such as Ableton and
Sibelius
Supervises sound setup, instrumentation, and technology for all rehearsals and performances
Conducts production meetings and strategic planning with department leadership alongside
executive producer
Continuously seeks and implements advancements in technology, equipment, and workflow
Represents New Wine and the Praise & Worship department on national and international
platforms
Local, national, and international travel required
Other duties as assigned
Professional Qualifications:
Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Advanced knowledge of music theory, arranging, and production workflows
Proficient in music software (Ableton Live, Sibelius, Pro Tools, etc.)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Demonstrated excellence in directing live bands and producing music content
Education and/or Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in Music or related field and 12 months of experience as a Music Director or Worship Leader.

Uncompromised commitment to KJMs vision, values, core beliefs and statement of faith.
Agree to be an active participant in King Jesus International Ministry.
Be a born-again Christian who conducts affairs in accordance with the Bible and maintains a
lifestyle consistent with the Scriptures.
Leads others in prayer and spiritual development through music
Understand that in this role, they are a critical part of KJMs mission to bring the supernatural
power of God to this generation, and that part of their responsibilities as a church employee
includes being considered a spiritual leader in the church.
