As the Software Development Manager of this Culver City-based team, you'll lead engineers building production systems that combine GenAI, ML, and immersive media to deliver breakthrough customer experiences. Your team owns critical capabilities spanning intelligent container creation, explainability, textual and visual enrichments, and music enhancement; Building the future of music through AI-powered visual and audio experiences.

Ship customer impact - Drive top Amazon Music priorities
Build technical excellence - Establish architecture patterns for agentic workflows, real-time AI systems, and multi-modal content generation at scale
Grow engineering talent - Develop Engineers into technical leaders through mentorship, code reviews, and strategic project ownership
Enable organizational leverage - Partner with Applied Science, Product, TPM, and cross-org teams (Alexa, Catalog, Search) to unlock platform capabilities
Balance innovation and execution - Maintain production reliability while deploying AI/ML technologies

Guide architectural decisions for services handling millions of requests with strict latency/cost requirements

Partner with Applied Scientists on model evaluation, prompt engineering, and quality metrics
Collaborate with Product and TPM on roadmap prioritization, launch sequencing, and customer impact measurement
Represent the team in org-wide technical reviews, operational readiness assessments, and strategic planning
Recruit, hire, and develop engineers who thrive in ambiguous, fast-moving AI/ML environments
