About the Role:
Lawrenceville-Suwanee School of Music is looking for a passionate and skilled Piano Instructor to join our growing music community in Gwinnett County, GA. This is a wonderful in-person teaching opportunity to inspire students of all ages and skill levels while doing what you love most — making music.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide engaging one-on-one piano lessons tailored to each student's age, skill level, and musical goals
  • Develop and follow structured lesson plans covering music theory, technique, and repertoire
  • Track and evaluate student progress and communicate updates to parents or guardians as needed
  • Prepare students for recitals, auditions, and music examinations
  • Maintain a positive, encouraging, and professional learning environment
  • Collaborate with school staff to support scheduling, events, and studio operations
  • Stay current with best practices in music education and pedagogy
Requirements:
  • Proficiency in piano performance with a strong foundation in music theory
  • Prior teaching experience with students of varying ages and skill levels preferred
  • Degree in Music, Music Education, or equivalent professional experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with students and families
  • Patient, motivating, and adaptable teaching style
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor
  • Ability to teach multiple genres including classical, contemporary, and pop is a plus
