Job description

Who We Are

We're Gabb, and we believe childhood should be spent making memories, not scrolling a feed. Our Creative team runs like an in-house agency, and we believe great work and a little bit of whimsy go hand in hand. If you've ever made a killer road trip playlist and thought about what the cover art should look like, this one's for you.

We value creativity and execution over experience, so make sure your portfolio is ready!

What Youโ€™ll Do

Gabb Wireless is looking for a Gabb Music Designer to join our internal Creative team. Gabb Music is a clean music service for families and kids that's growing quickly and available on Gabb devices and in the app store. This role is the go-to designer bringing that experience to life visually.

Youโ€™ll be the primary creative owner of Gabb Musicโ€™s visual world, collaborating on the design needs for playlists and campaigns, while also supporting the broader brand and marketing design team. This role still finding its exact rhythm day to day, with some testing along the way to find the right balance. Youโ€™ll report to the Creative Director and work with our amazing Gabb Music team located in Nashville. This role will require occasional after hours and requests made outside of normal business hours.

Responsibilities
  • Design visuals used through the Gabb Music app
  • Resize and adapt album artwork across formats
  • Help shape and maintain the visual style within the Gabb Music app
  • Maintain consistency with Gabbโ€™s brand guidelines across all Gabb Music visual output
  • Organize and maintain design asset libraries for Gabb Music, keeping files named, tagged, and stored consistently
  • Support the broader brand and marketing design team on additional projects as needed
  • Collaborate closely with the Creative Director and Gabb Music team to understand ongoing visual needs
  • Contribute to and help maintain brand systems and design consistency
What Youโ€™ll Need
  • A design portfolio showcasing relevant work
  • Junior to mid level design experience
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Proficiency in Figma
  • Illustration skills are a strong plus
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail, especially around asset and file management
  • Comfortable executing within established brand guidelines and systems
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, able to work well with multiple stakeholders
Why This Role

This role is a great fit for a designer who loves craft, consistency, and ownership of a distinct creative world. Youโ€™ll be the visual voice behind a fast-growing product, working alongside a broader creative team that treats design as a craft worth doing well, with plenty of room for fun along the way. In its infant stage, this role is truly what you make of it. If you love a challenge and building something great, we need you!

Why Youโ€™ll Love Gabb
  • Mission driven to protect kids and make a difference in the world
  • Work-life balance with unlimited PTO, flexible/hybrid schedules, and more
  • Generously covered insurance premiums (up to 100% based on tenure)
  • Stock options and 401(k) plan with employer match
  • Fast-paced startup environment with room for career growth
  • Energetic and collaborative company culture (plus the coolest coworkers around)
  • Pet insurance to keep your furry friend happy and healthy

Everyoneโ€™s Welcome Here

Gabb is an equal opportunity employer committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. We welcome and encourage applications from all qualified individuals, regardless of background or identity. All applicants will be considered for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, disability status, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, pregnancy, or any other protected characteristic.
