TheIntegrated Entities Content Specialistuses a mix of journalism, public relations and marketing skills to surface, develop and promote compelling stories/content about DPR's Family of Companies, its customers,projectsand people. Through close collaboration with the broaderCommunications+Brandteam, this individual creates engaging and strategic content for internal and external audiences that:
connects people to DPR's purpose,
tells the story of a most admired company and its people,
helps advance business priorities and standards, and
changesperceptionsof what the construction industry can be.
As a member of the Integrated Entities Communications team, this individual sets the example of how to build brand internally and externally by developing content that incorporates key messages tied to overall businessobjectivesand increases audience alignment/engagement. We are looking for an exceptional writer/communicator who has a proventrack recordof translating technical concepts into compelling editorial content crafted to catch a reader's attention. Responsibilities will include but may not be limited to the following:
Key Responsibilities
Generating a wide range of multi-media editorial projects, including articles, case studies, blog posts, web content, videos, award submissions and internal "knowledge sharing" or "best builder" stories.
Repurpose stories into channel-ready formats, including social copy, email copy, and presentation content
The ability to manage and execute integrated campaigns, working with both internal communications and external public relationssubteams.
Being a strategic contributor to planning discussions,demonstratingthe ability to put forward tactical recommendations in line with strategies;adviseothers on campaigns and ways they can be driven through storytelling.
Posting a steady stream of strategic content both internally and externally.
Contribute to over-arching editorial calendars and update schedule additions and changes.
Providing feedback and training to others ongood contentbest practices that helps DPR build and sustain a consistent and positive brand image.
Optimize content and tone of voice for various platforms and channels, taking into account audiences and their behaviors.
Ensure all content produced adheres to DPR brand standards, requirements (including music and imagery licensing) and operational/EHS protocols.
Help build a library of content and imagery that is easily searchable and can beleveragedfor multiple uses.
Relevant Qualifications and Skills
8+ years of experience in journalism, editing, corporate storytelling and/or a related field. A/E/C industry experience a plus.
A keen interest in, and curiosity about, the latest trends in the A/E/C industry and a comfort with being on construction job sites where the work takes place.
A knack for telling stories about deeply technical topics in a way that is understandable and relatable to a non-technical audience.
The ability to create, or oversee creation of still photography and videos as well as a network of professionals who can support this (e.g.production freelancers, location experts, etc.)
A growth mindset and the desire to experiment with new and emerging forms of contentin order toreach a broad set of audiences.
A talent for collaborating effectively with a number of stakeholders across DPR's Family of Companies, the C+B team, and its customers/partners.
The capacity and resourcefulness to work quickly and decisively to meet deadlines.
Availability to travel.
