For our Regional Sales Organization based in the USA, we are now seeking to expand our sales team and recruit the following:

Project Lead, Culture Cluster, Eastern North America; Remote, Full-Time:

  • ERCO is looking for an enthusiastic Project Lead to join our museum and gallery focused team, the "Culture Cluster." This is an exciting opportunity for a museum-focused professional who is looking to advance their career with an entrepreneurial and dynamic organization. This person will be responsible for promoting ERCO products across the museum and gallery community through sales presentations, project design support, and industry events.


Location:

  • Fully remote, must live in or near a metropolitan market with a major airport preferably in the eastern half of the United States. Territory will include projects located throughout the eastern half of the United States.


Position Profile:

  • Actively promote ERCO's lighting solutions within the museum, gallery, and cultural institution community while strengthening the company's position as a trusted leader in museum lighting.
  • Build strategic relationships across the museum community, including cultural institutions, curators, exhibition designers, architects, and lighting designers, to expand ERCO's network, create new business opportunities, and support exceptional visitor and collection experiences.
  • Secure lighting specifications and project opportunities through consultative selling, technical expertise, and trusted client relationships.
  • Represent ERCO at conferences, professional organizations, and cultural events, serving as an ambassador for the company and the advancement of museum lighting practices.
  • Support domestic and international museum and gallery projects through effective project management and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Maintain exceptional relationships with customers, partners, suppliers, and colleagues through a high standard of service and professionalism.
  • Keep senior management informed of economic, competitive, and other factors affecting the market with recommendations for improvements/changes.

Professional Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with background in one of the following: architectural lighting, museum studies, exhibition design, or related field
  • Excellent teamwork skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency with business technology, including Microsoft Office applications, CRM systems, and web-based collaboration platforms.
  • This role requires 40-60% overnight travel.


Ideal Professional Experience would include one, or two, of following

  • Experience in the museum environment, either working for or with museums in the development of exhibits
  • Knowledge of lighting, lighting design and/or controls through work as specifier
  • Experience in construction project management, material procurement, or similar area.
  • Sales ability including negotiation, presentation and communication skills, along with a successful track record with sales assignments; experience selling specification and/or technical type products

  • Collaboration: Work in unison with a wide range of different personalities towards a common goal.
